A Foundation Built on the Rock
At St. Mary Help of Christians School, we believe one of the most important decisions parents make is how their child will be educated. You have lots of wonderful options out in the world today, but if you are seeking an education that not only provides solid educational learning opportunities, but also strives to help your child learn through a spiritual lens, where faith is integrated with knowledge, then we invite you to start our application process. If you come across any areas where you have questions or would like to discuss more in-depth, please reach out to our principal, Kelly Kirks, at 320-251-3937 or kkirks@smhocs.org. She always looks forward to talking with parents!
Step 1 // Schedule a Tour
We can tell you all day long about the St. Mary Help of Christians School difference, but we want you to feel the difference when you and your family walk through our doors. Come visit us, and we would love to show you around. Bring your questions, and we’ll be sure to answer them, so you can feel comfortable and confident that you’re making the best decision for your child.
Step 2 // Fill Out an Application
Let’s get started – this is so exciting! You can grab an application at your school tour, or you can apply online. The application helps us get a better feel for your child and your family. We will be in touch with more information.
Step 3 // Consider your Financial Investment
Is a Catholic education worth the investment? We believe absolutely yes. Our mission at St. Mary Help of Christians School is to make quality Catholic education available and accessible to all who value it. We will not turn away families due to financial need. When you come in to tour, we will talk about tuition and discuss potential scholarship opportunities for your family.
Step 4 // Celebrate!
Celebrate this exciting step in your child’s education and faith formation! We will work with your family to help ensure you feel comfortable and welcome at St. Mary Help of Christians School. We are SO happy you are here. Want a sneak peek into being a SMHOCS kid? Check out our Facebook page!

Parents of 2 SMHOCS studentsThere are so many great things about SMHOCS that makes this school amazing. I could point out the smaller classroom sizes, the outstanding staff led by principal Mrs. Kirks, and the overwhelming sense of community. But most important, is the values of respect, forgiveness, and faithfulness. I couldn’t be happier and strongly invite you to come see for yourself all the amazing things our school has to offer.

Parents of 2 SMHOCS studentsSt. Mary Help of Christians School is a really special place to be. My daughters love going to school. Along with them gaining a great education, they are learning important values. One of my favorite things about St. Mary’s is how all the grades mingle and treat one another with respect and integrity. It warms my heart.

Parents of 2 SMHOCS StudentsSt. Mary Help of Christians School has been one of the best investment decisions we have made. From the Principal, Teachers and the Staff, they truly care about their students. The smaller class sizes are great and enables the teachers to support each student and teach to their individual strengths and abilities. We love the faith-based environment and the spirit of family and community within. Our experience has been nothing short of AMAZING.
